Frequently Asked Questions

Is the venue Handicap Accessible?

Yes we are. We have a handicap lift and both bathrooms are ADA compliant.

Is there an age limit?

For evening shows, there is an age limit that will be posted on the event page. While most of the acts present clean material, at the evening shows there could be an adult word or theme used by some of the performers. You can always call and ask if you are concerned about bringing younger people to the show. Our family shows in the afternoon are guaranteed to be G Rated (general audience), family style entertainment suitable for guests of any age.

Is there a dress code?

While you don’t have to put on a tux to come to the Magical Arts Center don’t show up in your cut-offs and flip flops either. We really can’t enforce a strict dress code, but we hope you will dress as if you are going out to the theater for the evening, because in fact you are. Were sure the other guests and the performers will appreciate everyone looking their best.

Is there a service charge for buying tickets?

Yes there is. We use a company to securely handle the credit cards and to track your purchases. There is a service charge added to the cost of the ticket (and the service charge is clearly shown on your cart when you check out).

Can I cancel my purchase?

No. All ticket sales are Final.

Are all the seats the same price?

No. It depends on the show. The seating chart when buying tickets for any show, will clearly indicate any price differences.

Can I take a picture or video during the show?

Yes you can. Taking still photos, short videos (less than a minute) or audio recordings during the show is  permitted at the Smoke and Mirrors Theater. We hope you will post this online and share them with us!

How long is the show?

The length of each show will vary. Family shows are usually between 60-70 minutes. Evening shows usually run between 80-90 minutes without an intermission.

Is the Performer Subject to Change?

Things happen and in the rare event that a performer can't make a scheduled event, the venue has the right to replace them.

Do I need a paper ticket for the show?

There is NO NEED to print your ticket!
After purchasing your ticket, you will get an email with the info you will need to gain admission for you and your party. If you want to print this info and bring it you can, but there is NO NEED to print your ticket.

Is theater seating first come first served?

No it’s not. Each seat is numbered and when you buy your seats online (or via phone), you will have the chance to select your seat(s).

What kind of payments do your accept?

We accept all major credit cards for online ticket sales. If you want to use Paypal, you will need to call us.

Booking Entertainment

What kind of entertainment do you offer?

Thanks to our long history in show business, we have contacts for almost any kind of entertainment that you might need for your special event.

How much does it cost?

Buying entertainment is like buying anything else. You get what you pay for. Say you need to book a band for your company’s picnic. You could get the band that plays at the local bar or you could book the Rolling Stones. Both will play music but the experience will be different for you guests. Different acts charge different amounts. We know who the best performers are in different price ranges and we will book the best act for your budget.

How far in advance should I book my entertainment?

We suggest, as soon as you have secured your date and time, book your entertainment. We will always have great acts available, but booking early is always your best option.
