We are proud to present Bebel at House of Magic for one show only on
Wednesday, October 21 st . If a magician goes by one name only, chances are he is
very good…and Bebel certainly is. When magicians are asked to name the best
card magicians in the world today, Bebel’s name always appears on those lists.
He was born outside of Paris and was diagnosed with polio at age two. Part of his
therapy was learning some simple magic and that started a lifelong passion. He
was self-taught through reading books, but began taking formal lessons at 18. He
quickly progressed beyond his teacher’s knowledge and abilities.
He also began to perform on the streets of Paris in the early 1980’s and by 1990, he became a regular fixture in the Mabillon area. He still performs there in the summer, but in the early 2000’s, he began to create the first of his theater shows. Since that time,
he has gone on to create and perform several different theater shows in 250 seat
mini theaters. Bebel also performs private and corporate shows as well as being a
frequent guest on French television.
In 2000, he began to get invited to perform and teach at magic conventions
throughout the world from Las Vegas to Japan, as well as throughout Europe. He
first appeared at Hollywood’s Magic Castle in 2014 and has performed there every
year since. He is enroute to that famous venue, but agreed to stop at House of
Magic for one show only.
