Award Winning Magician and Balloonist Ed Schmitt will be returning to Smoke and Mirrors June 14, 2025 @1pm. Ed is a local and was born and raised in the Delaware Valley. Ed’s journey into the study of magic began when the grandfather of a fifth-grade classmate performed a magic show for their class. He started reading and practicing whatever magic he could get his hands on and to this day still reads, learns and attends magic lectures to improve his magic skills.

Ed has been active for over 30 years in the Society of American Magicians (SAM), International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and Magicians’ Alliance of Eastern States (MAES).  He has served as president for both IBM and MAES.  Ed has received many awards throughout the years. To name a few, he was recognized as Stage Magician of The Year by both IBM and SAM, Mentalist of the Year by MAES and Best of Philly for Children’s Magic two years in a row by SAM.  He has performed more than a 1200 magic shows and balloon events in the Tri-State area. His show will use a combination of astonishing magic and witty comedy to create a high-energy unique performance that will have you telling your friends about long after the show.
